Young people from Stolec and Estonia participated in the workshop, where they were able to get to know the meaning of theater through exercises and creative activities. The exercises, which were conducted in the store and in the nature of Stolec, gave the young theater makers the opportunity to become aware of the abilities that enable them to act on stage, as well as to react and work with confidence, create in a group process, and have trust in themselves and the group. The young people not only practiced acting but also tried their hand at directing, developing a story, and creating a puppet: the dragon from the lake.
The various days spent in the shop allowed both the workshop leaders and the participants to become familiar with the store and its space. It was noticeable that the young people also stayed in the Market Groseria before and after the workshop times to work on scenes, costumes, and the puppet. In doing so, the young people created a space for themselves where they could be creative in their own time.
With the help of Katarzyna Kupiec, Malik Meyer, and Kolja Kraft, scene suggestions could then be transformed into a performance with accompanying original composed music.
The result of the week was a performance realized by the young theater makers, based on their ideas, which was also attended by parents and other guests from Stolec. The audience heard stories about the dragon of Stolec and how dancers, magicians, and fishermen chased the dragon away in various scene fragments.
