Improvisational theater with Zaytun Ensemble
Fireshow by Kamil Żongler Malecki and Smoki w Zalewie (Municipal and Communal Cultural Center in Stepnica)
20.09.24
This evening had two parts and therefore two meanings: Stolec should laugh, and it should light up. For the first half, people of Stolec were invited into the store. There, the carpet awaited them once again. Zaytun Ensemble presented improvisational theater to the audience. The actors on stage, who were to perform in front of the audience, were: Julla Kroner, Jules Rodgers, Katarzyna Kupiec, and Marcel Tadeusz Jarocki. They were sitting on the chairs on the side and although they knew they were to improvise that evening, they did not know the tasks or the objects in advance. Thus, a moment of absolutely unexpected theatrical imagery was created. Ola Supernak and Malik Meyer conceived the suggestions, gathered props, and led through the diverse parts. Under the influence of the audience, who could choose the objects and scenarios, wonderful and grotesque scenes emerged. After a while, people from the audience also dared to go on stage, and the carpet offered a spectacle that invited smiles – a shared period full of unexpected moments.
The audience where asked now to a little break with the team, as something was to be prepared that had already sparked rumors. Stolec was about to catch fire.
Kamil Żongler Malecki and the group Smoki w Zalewie from Stepnica prepared for their fire show in front of the store. The audience of the impro space, as well as many other people, gathered on the opposite side of the street. As the finale of the evening, the village experienced one fire performance after another. With the store as the scenography, the enthusiasm of the people, and the cars that occasionally stopped on the street, some of the drivers remained as spectators in their cars or got out and joined the others. The evening before the grand finale set the stage for a special celebration. And the last question asked that evening was:
What's next? Flying elephants?
