The installation work "Mamu" by Klara Gmiter is a piece she had previously created, which was now showcased for the first time in the spaces of Market Groseria. In exchange with artist, the idea arose to conduct preliminary conversations with people from Stolec regarding the subject motherhood. This led to an exchange with the artist a day before, as they had talks in the open space with coffee and tea. These impressions were incorporated into the context of the work "Mamu" in the room, and the installation was set up on the same day, with the artist taking the time to let her work settle into the space.
The following day, the students from Wallmow and Rzędziny were the first to visit the space after the singing and soup meeting. They could view the work and afterwards engage with the artist.
Furthermore, the entire installation was open throughout the day and early evening, allowing visitors to experience it. The visitors came to the store and witnessed the depth of Klara Gmiter's work, in which she explores the history and identities of mothers in her family history. The store's space was once again redefined, brought to life by the stories, objects, archival material, and the presence of the artist. Through her interaction with the audience, she provided a deeper understanding of the work's significance and stimulated an interactive exchange within the store. Klara Gmiter succeeded in integrating a work into the space of Market Groseria that emerged from her own process yet opened new perspectives through her interaction with the audience and the concept of bartering.
Some of the observed moments formed a valuable factor for the visitors from the village, who, in dialogue with the history and the artist's work, could also learn about their own identities and perspectives on this topic.
